A late Georgian mahogany writing slope. The outside is fitted with a pair of brass carrying handles and brass escutcheon. Opening the box will produce an angled writing surface with pen tray and ink well. The leathered writing surface with a gilt tooled finish lifts to reveal storage compartments beneath.
