A limited edition copperplate etching by Frederick Slocombe from an original painting by Joseph Farquharson (1846-1935). The picture has been signed by both men. It was the first of 50 printed in London published January 1887, by the Fine Art Society New Bond Street. It depicts a shepherd and his dog herding a flock of sheep through a gate into the field beyond. The foreground shows some silver birch trees, then the hills into the distance.
