A nice quality French mantel clock. It is made from green onyx marble and brass. It has glass sides with a decorative white enamel dial. It stands on cast brass feet. The clock has a French eight day movement which strikes the hours and half hour on a gong with original mercury compensating pendulum. The movement is made by Vincenti & Co, France. It was awarded the Medaille d’argent (silver medal) at the Expo Universelle in 1855.
