A Victorian Burr Walnut writing desk with boxwood strings and ebonised moldings. The top with its molded edge inset with a black tooled leather, with a raised shelf to the back supported on turned columns. The shelf has a three quarter gallery around the top. Beneath are two frieze drawers fitted with brass escutcheons. The desk is raised on turned and fluted legs that terminate on brass cup castors. The legs are united by turned and fluted stretcher rails.
